![]() ![]() When writing Bendy games, I generally have a full idea in mind and stay true to the story. However we often don't do what they expect because sometimes it's devilishly fun to turn their expectations upside down with a surprise. ![]() We take their input very seriously as we want to make them as happy as we can with our games. Our fans have been absolutely inspiring over the course of the Bendy series! They were there in very large numbers starting at Bendy's first chapter and have grown to millions of fans around the globe. The fan community for the Bendy franchise is incredibly active, how have the fans impacted the game over the years? How does the team typically react to the many theories people have? Our fans find her wildly entertaining and scary. With Alice Angel she is completely insane, evil, demented, and yet somehow very human. You can guess what they are going to do to some degree. ![]() While some characters are also unique to write, like Sammy Lawrence (a crazed cult-leading music composer) and Wilson (the main antagonist of Bendy and the Dark Revival), they still have some level of relatability to them. She has a strong duality as she wrestles with both sides of herself making her a fun character to write for. A twisted blend of innocent cartoon and mutilated human. For those unaware, Alice Angel is a monster version of a sweet animated character of the same name. In terms of story, I have to say that Alice Angel is a blast to write for. In short, it's a wild ride.ĭo you have a favorite character within the Bendy universe, either because of their lore or just their personality? It's part horror, part comedy, part adventure, and part drama. Every time the player thinks we’re following a typical video game trope I like to shake things up with a surprising turn of events that puts Bendy in almost its own genre. In the games we always try to keep players on their toes. I didn't really grow up with any actual "horror" media (outside of some old Abbott and Costello films) so it's still funny to me that I created a horror icon with Bendy. My love of vintage cartoons (especially Looney Tunes animations) played a large part in spinning this strange world. Bioshock definitely being one due to how beautifully it spun a story through player interactions with strange characters. The Bendy series has many influences from childhood and adulthood. ![]()
